HOW TO TELL THEM APART
Open Task Manager while the slowdown is happening. On the Performance tab:
- Memory consistently above 80% → you need more RAM
- Disk at 100% constantly → your drive is the bottleneck — almost certainly spinning
- Both look fine → the problem is software, not hardware
